Stopped in here during a business trip and so glad I did too. We didn't have a reservation but they were able to get us in, the manager was just awesome.
Our server was just fantastic, she provided suggestions and was very personable. The food was excellent, my 12 oz New York strip was probably the best I've had, the shrimp were seasoned and done to perfection. Honestly, I cannot recommend this location enough. After a long trip, this was exactly what was needed! When I'm back in town I will definitely be back.
We tried this restaurant for the first time tonight. We had a few small issues but overall we had a good time.
Parking was a bit of a challenge. The parking is shared with other businesses and restaurants adjacent to this place. I’d have appreciated valet parking; that is usually normal for a restaurant in this caliber.
We were greeted with a friendly staff. Seated and asked if we’d like any alcoholic beverages. We don’t drink so we said no but as the meal started we were offered nothing else. We didn’t ask; we just remained satisfied with our water.
We also were not told there were any specials. We could have asked but we didn’t think until after we ordered. When a waiter told a new party near us of the specials we had a little bit of regret that we didn’t know about them.
Ok so little things to pick at but let’s talk food. My wife got the spinach and strawberry salad. It was great. I got the chop house salad. It was great too.
I ordered the 6oz filet Oscar style with a baked potato and Brussel sprouts w/bacon. It was all delicious.
My wife got the salmon with asparagus and a sauce as well as Mousseline potatoes. The fish was a bit fishy and would have been better with a bit of some kind of sauce. But I was really wishing I had the option of the Mousseline potatoes as a side with my steak. They were very good.
Overall we had a good time, the service was good but could use a little polish. But everyone was friendly and helpful. The food was good and we left satisfied. It was nice not to drive far from home for a restaurant of this caliber. I’m sure we’ll be back.
So disappointed. Visited this place when it was called Texas Bleu. The quality of THEIR cuisine, hospitality and presentation rivaled the likes of other area steak house establishments.
Chophouse is far from those days. While I appreciated the option to order 1/2 wine bottles staff AND management are in desperate need of a field trip to observe and graft in the ebb & flow and appearance of a fine dining experience. The staff was friendly but their “uniforms” were lacking, and serving skills were no more exceptional than Applebees- which is just fine, if we had chosen to visit Applebees.
I’ve never seen such backwards service. Here’s your menu for appetizers-which we could barely read in the dark dining room- then your drink order. Our medium well steak, on a pretty plate was killed twice and served browner than a Crayola crayon. Even the music reflected the patchwork service. 80’s one minute jumping to the latest pop hit. There was absolutely no cohesiveness in the entire dining experience. One and done.
Atmosphere is very romantic, which is nice for a date. The service was very good. The food, however, was mediocre for the price point. There’s nothing there that’s really unique for the food. For the price point I would much rather go somewhere like Ruth’s Chris.
I was up sick all night and all day the next day. The cracklin chicken lived up to its name in a very bad way. The chicken tasted a little odd but I shrugged it off as seasoning, I was wrong. We were seated in the bar area and the clientele was extremely crass for a group of middle aged couples on date night.
Great menu items! Really like the atmosphere! Filet with dynamite was perfect! We had the lava cake for dessert, but it was gone before a picture was taken! Matt was a great server! Will be back!
Keller’s best little secret. The food is amazing and the customer service is on point. The filet is so tasty and so are the steak bruschetta. Omg
The food presentation is lovely! The food on the other hand…..I ordered pan seared scallops - $43 (for 3). At first I was disappointed that there were only 3 but after my 2nd bite I was thankful. They were SO salty I’m not sure that I could have choked down anymore than that. They were tough and over cooked (which I could have gotten past if they weren’t SO SALTY)
The bread and butter was yummy. Our appetizer (Moroccan beef cigars were good) but came out with our salads. The salmon, the lobster mac and cheese, bread pudding and the crème brûlée were all just fine. I suppose I had my expectations set to high.
Timing off the food coming out was definitely off, (so perhaps this is something they can work on) we did have to wait a bit longer than expected for our entrée as well as our desert. Again no real big deal except the exterior entrance door opens directly to the restaurant and every time someone came in or left, all the cold outside air came right in. I got uncomfortably cold and put on my heavy coat while eating desert.
The hostess, was friendly and accommodating and if you decide to go I do recommend the chocolate martini!
Giving 2 stars because of the super salty scallops
